Emergency Response Certification Programs

CPR AED

CPR AED – prepares 1st responders to deploy cardiopulmonary resuscitation for persons suffering cardiac arrest, use of an AED and response to choking victims. Practice skills including abdominal thrust, chest compression with rescue breaths, use of AED.

Basic First Aid

Basic First Aid – prepares 1st responders to respond to physical injuries, choking victims, sudden illnesses, and environmental injuries. Practice Skills for abdominal thrust, tourniquet application (STOP THE BLEED), Narcan and Epi-pen administration.

Basic First Aid & CPR AED

CPR AED & First Aid Instructor

The HSI CPR, AED & First Aid Instructor Development Course is comprised of an online cognitive training segment followed by and 8-hour, in-person, instructor-led course. The 4 hours self-paced online portion must be completed before attending an instructor led IDC. Upon course registration and payment, Instructor Candidates will be emailed a link to access the online portion.

Once instructor Candidates complete the HSI CPR, AED & First Aid Instructor Development Course you will be able to certify individuals in Adult First Aid, Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED (All Ages), Wilderness First Aid (WFA), Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP), Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS), Use and administration of Epinephrine Auto Injectors (EAI), oxygen, advanced bleeding control, high performance CPR, basic life support (BLS) and Advanced First Aid.

AVERT Active Shooter Instructor

Unlike other training programs that focus solely on run, hide, fight techniques, HSI Active Violence Emergency Response (AVERT) program uses a dynamic method to teach proactive awareness; how to react and protect yourself and others in a violent situation, and how to stop a the bleed of severe injuries that are often a result of these occurrences. Attend the 1-day AVERT Instructor Development Course (IDC) and train others to react confidently with life-saving skills during a violent encounter or a life-threatening bleeding emergency. The fee includes the blended training course, AVERT Instructor Training Kit, and much more. The 4 hour self-paced online portion must be completed before attending an instructor led IDC. Upon course registration and payment, Instructor Candidates will be emailed a link to access the online portion. Our Instructor Development Course provides you with all the training and necessary components you need to start teaching AVERT to your organization or customers.
